How does it work?
The WOW fusion® device is a small medical device with 20 titanium 24k gold-plated needles, each 0.13mm in diameter. Micro needling is a well-established treatment in its own right, whereby the needles piercing the outer epidermis promote growth factor release, which in turn initiate a healing cascade with fibroblast proliferation and collagen deposition.
Mesotherapy describes the flow of serum down specifically designed spiral grooves of these needles direct to the epidermal-dermal junction. A personalised cocktail of vitamins and skin nutrients is tailored to your needs.
Does is hurt?
The WOW Fusion device is lightly stamped over the face, which can be slightly uncomfortable for some, especially around sensitive areas such as the eyes and upper lip. However, this is only short-lived, and feels a bit like threading, but is definitely worth it!
What actives are in the cocktail?
We choose ingredients best suited to your skin, such as:
- Hyaluronic acid (hydrating, anti-oxidant)
- Multi-vitamins (serum containing 40 vitamins, minerals & amino acids to support collagen, elastin, and revitalise the skin)
- Glutathione (powerful anti-oxidant with skin-lightening properties)
- Vitamin C (anti-oxidant, brightens the skin)
- Magnesium sulphate (anti-inflammatory)
- Copper/calcium (reduce epidermal fragility)
- Botulinum toxin (smoothes skin, reduces redness, sebum production and pore size)
Can WOW fusion® be used to treat rosacea?
Yes! WOW fusion® can deliver Botulinum toxin to the superficial layers of the skin. Here it causes vascoconstriction of the blood vessels to effectively reduce redness and flushing, without affecting muscle function.
What about excessive sweating?
Similarly, Botulinum toxin can be used to block the nerves that stimulate sweat glands, to reduce symptoms associated with the embarrassing condition of hyperhidrosis.
