Annemarie has always been fascinated by medicine and skincare, so training to become a Skincare Educator enabled her to pursue her passion over the years, in an industry that is ever-changing. Her thirst for knowledge is constantly rewarded with new developments, ingredients and products, and she loves nothing more than to share and enlighten others, helping them to get results on their own skin journey.

Her easy going nature enables Annemarie to connect with people. Understanding what makes them tick and why they feel the way they do is an important part of any transformation. This is key to her approach in creating a bespoke skincare plan, following through until the best outcome is achieved.

More about Annemarie

Annemarie studied at the Isa Carstens Health and Skincare Academy in Stellenbosch, South Africa, where she attained her Advanced Diploma in Health and Skincare, 2002. Since then she has gained enormous experience in all aspects of the skincare industry, specialising in microneedling collagen induction, in particular tackling the damaging effects on the skin of chronic UV exposure.

Having spent a considerable proportion of her career in South Africa educating therapists on different skincare brands and protocols, in 2014 she started working with the brand pHformula, and it is through this shared passion for pharmacosmeceutical skin resurfacing that in due course enabled her path to cross with Wendy’s.

From 2016-2022, Annemarie owned and worked in her own enormously successful clinic in Cape Town, specialising in skin resurfacing including TCA and microneedling. Here, her business was rated in the top 5 pHformula stockists in the city, and top 10 in South Africa. She also has experience managing a Spa in London, and has also worked in Skincare recruitment.

So fast-forward to 2023, when Annemarie’s family relocated to Haslemere, Surrey! We have loved welcoming Annemarie into our team. Her enthusiasm for skin health is infectious and she brings a wealth of expertise. When not working, she can be found in her happy place - ideally with her family in the sun: reading, walking, going to the gym or supporting her 2 children on the sports field.
